Zesty Taco Meat


I love this recipe because you can use it for so many different things! I've used it for tacos, stuffed sweet potatoes, salad topper, sloppy joe's (add in some mustard), quesadilla, enchiladas, etc.

You can add in onions or green peppers for some extra veggies. You can also add in 1 tbsp mustard and use it as a sloppy joe filling. Enjoy!

Serves 3 - 4, 5 minutes


  • 1 poblano pepper, diced

  • 2 lb grass-fed ground beef

  • 3 tbsp tomato paste

  • Sea salt + ground pepper

  • 3 tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tbsp cumin

  • Pinch cayenne pepper if you like it spicy!

  • 1/3 cup bone broth (can use beef or chicken)


  1. Chop poblano pepper.

  2. Heat skillet over medium/high heat.

  3. Add pepper and sauté until softened.

  4. Add ground beef, break apart as it cooks with a spatula or sturdy spoon.

  5. Once meat is browned, stir in tomato paste and spices. Next, stir in broth until combined.

  6. Let cook on low/medium for about 5 minutes to incorporate flavors.

Keep refrigerated in airtight containers for 3-4 days.
